Why I'm building Recomby.ai
The rules of search changed. Users no longer type keywords into a box and pick from ten blue links — they describe a specific need to ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini, and the AI recommends one answer by name. Every day, thousands of businesses get skipped in this new layer because AI search engines can't find a clean, specific, verifiable answer on their website.
The obvious fix — "just hire an SEO agency" — doesn't map to how AI actually picks citations. Traditional SEO optimizes for backlinks and domain authority. Generative Engine Optimization optimizes for answer precision, data density, and structured authority. Two very different games, and nobody was shipping a product that treated the new game seriously for small brands.
So I started building one. Since early 2025, Recomby.ai has grown from a single content script into a full autonomous AI employee — nine skills working together so the right businesses get cited when people ask AI for a recommendation. Business profiling, keyword mining, AI search scouting, content writing, cover design, content adaptation, visibility tracking, GEO auditing, and daily reporting. One employee. One job: make you findable.
What Recomby.ai actually is
